I have held many different positions in the course of my professional career: I have seen the world of business from the viewpoint of a salaried employee, manager, managing director, entrepreneur, Head of HR and consultant, to name but a few. In my role as a consultant, I have had (and, indeed, still have) the great good fortune to study – from within – companies and organisations of all sizes, from many branches of industry, and with a wide variety of corporate cultures. As a result, I have repeatedly been lucky enough to experience the sheer diversity of the world of business.
Being an organisation and management consultant allows me to combine my skills in systemic organisation consultancy and change leadership with the experience I acquired during many years of work as a consultant for strategic branding and positioning. A systemic approach has proved to be an invaluable asset in my work, as it coincides with my own personal, professional convictions in a number of respects: activating resources, acknowledging that there is more than one absolute truth in professional life, accepting different viewpoints and angles, preferring to think in knowledge- and process loops rather than linear processes. Although this may sound a little complicated, it’s great fun to put it into practice and enjoy the satisfying solutions it creates.
Inspired by the professional experiences acquired in dealing with a various branches of industry and different companies, I recently began to look more closely – and from different viewpoints – at how we see our economic system, and to assess its current condition. This soon became a subject very close to my heart, and eventually led to the start of my career as a freelancer. I firmly believe that the predominant final control mechanism currently favoured by most companies – a one-dimensional concentration on economic parameters such as profit and turnover – will and must undergo radical changes in the next few years. Even now, it is already undeniable, or at least apparent, that this form of control does not give sufficient consideration to the human qualities of employees or customers. The greatest economic challenge facing us in the next few years will be to find answers to these pressing questions and, in so doing, engender a new order of companies that will be economically sound without being compelled to pursue a conventional and logical course towards economic growth. Transformation
In order to foster this new economic sector of people-planet-profit companies and to support the global change, I co-founded the German chapter of B Corp in 2014. B Corp is a growing community of conscious companies around the world, which are working together toward one unifying goal: to redefine success in business. If you want to become part of the global B Corp community or if you have questions concerning the B Impact Assessment, please drop me a Message.
In 2015, I co-founded TheDive together with a couple of likeminded partners. TheDive assists companies, organisations and people in becoming part of a new world, where economic success and social responsibility go hand in hand. At the same time, TheDive belongs to a growing, closely connected community of peers that share a single vision. With our projects and events, we actively contribute to this network.
My approach to my work has been described by others as thoughtful, responsible, empathic and humorous. I’ll leave you to decide for yourself whether the description fits, but I can assure you that you will encounter a well-rounded personality with experience of balancing rationality, emotion and intuition. If you feel that I could be of use to you in your work or other projects, please do not hesitate to Contact me.
